This belief is based on the law of buying and selling, of competing and winning, and does not seem to be the method of the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus showed us when He walked the earth 2,000 years ago.

This is certainly debatable, and Christians who seek to emulate these methods should not be criticized for doing so; however, if we truly seek God's ways regarding our mission trip activities, I think we will see that many of the fundraising letters samples are contrary to His way of doing things.
